Meet Michelle
studio principal | lead designer
Michelle (she/her) is the Founder and Principal of MICHE Studio, a boutique hospitality interior design firm specializing in creating memorable guest experiences for hotels and hospitality brands nationwide. Based in the Washington, DC metro area, she partners with hotel owners, developers, architects, and brand teams to deliver thoughtful interiors backed by meticulous documentation and collaborative project leadership.

With more than a decade of hospitality design experience, Michelle is recognized for combining creative vision with technical expertise. Michelle has built a reputation for guiding projects from concept through construction with an emphasis on clear communication, constructability, and operational success. Her expertise in hospitality interiors, construction documentation, and Revit implementation allows project teams to move confidently from design vision to execution.

Beyond her client work, Michelle is an active leader within the hospitality design community. She has served in leadership roles with NEWH (Network of Executive Women in Hospitality), contributes to industry initiatives, mentors emerging design professionals, and regularly participates in speaking engagements and panel discussions focused on hospitality design, professional practice, and the future of the industry. In 2025, she was recognized as one of the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce's 40 Under 40 for her professional achievements and commitment to strengthening the local business community.

Her work reflects the belief that exceptional hospitality design is about more than beautiful spaces - it's about creating places people remember and businesses that perform. Through MICHE Studio, she is committed to elevating hospitality design by combining strategic thinking, technical excellence, and collaborative leadership.

Michelle graduated magna cum laude from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design and lives in Alexandria, Virginia.

Meet Sara
senior interior designer
Sara Streeter (she/her) is a Senior Interior Designer at boutique hospitality design firm MICHE.studio. Since joining the firm in 2023, she has led multiple successful hotel renovation projects, including the development and execution of a custom prototype for several Wyndham La Quinta–Hawthorn properties. With over a decade of experience at firms such as HOK, R.D. Jones + Associates, Hartman Design Group, and Streetsense, Sara has worked across a diverse portfolio spanning corporate offices to luxury multifamily environments. She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Interior Design from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Bachelor of Arts from University of Delaware.
Sara is endlessly curious about the world and tries to live by the values of Sesame Street: smarter, stronger, kinder.
Meet Valeria
junior interior designer
Valeria Manfredonia (she/her) brings a global perspective and thoughtful design sensibility to her role at MICHE.studio. Born and raised in Mexico, she discovered her passion for interior design while attending university in her home country before relocating to the United States to further pursue her education and professional goals. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Architecture + Design from Marymount University.

Since joining the MICHE.studio team in 2024, Valeria has been passionate about hospitality design and dedicated to creating intentional, functional interiors. She brings strong technical expertise, a keen eye for detail, and a collaborative approach to every project. Driven by curiosity and a commitment to continuous growth, Valeria is eager to take on new challenges and continue evolving within the interior design industry.
Meet Abigail
junior interior designer
Abigail Foster is a Junior Interior Designer at MICHE Studio and holds two degrees in Hospitality Management from Florida International University, along with an Associate of Arts degree in Interior Design from Anne Arundel Community College. Her background in hospitality, business development, and commercial real estate informs her approach to creating thoughtful, guest-centered environments.

At MICHE Studio, Abigail supports hospitality and commercial projects through design development and Revit modeling. She also contributes to the firm's marketing initiatives, helping strengthen MICHE's brand presence and industry engagement. As a two-time ULI Etkin Scholar and Student Representative for the Washington, DC Chapter of NEWH, she is passionate about the intersection of hospitality, design, and development.
Outside of design, Abigail enjoys golfing, hosting dinner parties, and exploring new hospitality concepts and destinations.
